About Us
PATOUNE is a French brand. We make one thing.
What we make
A soft silicone brush with a 120 ml water reservoir, small enough to live in a coat pocket. You press, clean water comes out through the bristles, and the mud ends up on the ground instead of on your floor. No motor, no battery, nothing to recharge, nothing to empty when you get in.
It comes with a 40 × 40 cm terracotta microfibre towel, because a wet paw still marks a hallway. Drying is step three, not an accessory.
Why it exists
Everyone who owns a dog already cleans paws. Twice a day, at the door, with a wipe or an old towel. Nobody needs convincing that it matters.
The problem is where it happens. It happens inside. The dog is already in the hallway, already shaking, and you are already too late — so you clean twice: the paws, then the floor.
And everything sold to fix this is built for indoors. A mat at the entrance. A cup you fill at the kitchen tap. A pack of wipes on the shelf. Every one of them waits for the dog to come in first.
There is no tap outside your front door. That is the whole reason this stayed unsolved. So we put the water in the brush.
Where you can already find us
The same kit is on the shelves of three French pet-store chains — Animalis, Maxi Zoo and Médor et Compagnie. You can walk into one and pick the brush up with your hands. That is the thing we would want to check ourselves before buying from a brand we had never heard of.
What we do not do
We do not sell a no-rinse shampoo, and we are not planning to. Anything that stays on a paw is something the dog swallows when he lies down and licks. Plain water handles mud, sand and road salt — which is nine walks out of ten.
We are also not going to promise your dog will enjoy this. He will put up with it, the way he put up with the harness. That is already a lot.
If it turns out not to be for you, you have 30 days to send it back for a refund. That is what our 30-day guarantee is for.
